GUJCET 2019 Answer Key – GUJCET 2019 has been held and the candidates can now download the answer key for it. The GUJCET Answer Key 2019 is available by unofficial bodies. Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) shall also release GUJCET Answer Key on gseb.org. Candidates can use the answer key to evaluate their score. To do so, match the answers from the key and add 1 marks for all the correct answers. The result of GUJCET will release in 2nd week of May 2019. All the BJP and Congress candidates, except five, who are in the fray for the 26 Lok Sabha seats in Gujarat, are'crorepatis', revealed the affidavits submitted by them with their nomination papers.

Four of the five candidates, whose total assets are less than one crore rupees, belong to the tribal community.

Some of the richest candidates from these two major parties include Congress's Mehsana nominee, Ambalal Patel, who has declared assets worth Rs 69.9 crore.

Three candidates of the Congress and two BJP nominees have declared assets less than Rs one crore.

Mansukh Vasava, the sitting BJP MP from Bharuch, who is seeking his re-election for the sixth time, has declared assets worth Rs 68.35 lakh.

Congress candidate Sherkhan Pathan, who is pitted against Vasava, has declared assets of Rs 33.4 lakh.

Naresh Maheshwari, the Congress candidate from Kutch, has declared total assets of Rs 38.13 lakh.

Gujarat State Tribal Education Society (GSTES) or EMRS Society came into existence on 3rd January, 2000 as an autonomous society by Tribal Development Department, Government of Gujarat registered under The Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950 vide Registration No. F/676/Gandhinagar. The name of GSTDREIS has changed to 'Gujarat State Tribal Education Society' (GSTES) since 11-Feb-2015. Candidates having integrated dual degree (IDD) certificate should ensure that the date of passing the IDD is on or before 31.08.2019 Those who are in the final year/semester of their graduation may also apply provisionally subject to the condition that, if provisionally selected, they will have to produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before 31.08.2019.
Note (a) The date of passing eligibility examination will be the date appearing on the mark sheet/certificate or a provisional certificate issued by the University/Institute. In case the result of a particular examination is posted on the website of the University/ Institute, a certificate issued by the

must have been born not earlier than 02.04.1991 and not later than 01.04.1999 (both days inclusive).

Phase-I: Preliminary Examination: Preliminary Examination (online) consisting of Objective Tests for 100 marks will be conducted online. This test would be of 1-hour duration consisting of 3 Sections as follows:
Total Questions: 100
Total Marks: 100
Duration: 1 Hours

English Language: 30 Questions & 30 Marks, Duration: 20 Minute
Numerical Ability: 35 Questions & 35 Marks, Duration: 20 Minute
Reasoning Ability: 35 Questions & 35 Marks, Duration: 20 Minute

The questions in objective tests, except for the test of General English, will be bilingual i.e., English & Hindi. There will be negative marks for wrong answers in the Objective tests. 1/4th of mark assigned for the question will be deducted for each wrong answer

Candidates are required to score a minimum percentage marks on aggregate (For SC/ST/OBC/PWD/XS candidates, 5% relaxation available thereon). Minimum qualifying marks on aggregate will be decided by the bank. No minimum qualifying marks for the individual subject are prescribed. Merit list will be drawn State-wise, category wise. Candidates qualified in the test (main examination) will be placed according to their aggregate marks in descending order in respective
States and Categories.

NOTE: Other detailed information regarding the examination will be
given in the 'Acquaint Yourself' booklet, which will be made available to
the eligible candidates along with the call letter for the test.

Test of specified opted local language: Those who qualify for selection and produce 10th or 12th standard mark sheet/ certificated evidencing having studied the specified opted local language will not be subjected to any Language test. In case of others (qualified for selection), specified opted local language test will be conducted after provisional selection but before joining. Candidates not found to be proficient in specified opted local language would be qualified.
Provisional Selection (Subject to qualifying specified opted local language):

The marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination (Phase-I) will not be added for the selection and only the aggregate marks obtained in Main Examination (Phase-II) will be considered for preparation of the final merit list. Provisional selection will be made on the basis of candidate’s performance in the test (main examination).
The Bank may add additional centres or may delete some of the centres indicated for training. Candidates opting for pre-examination training should download their call letter for training by entering their registration number and password/date of birth from 14.05.2019 onwards from Bank's website. No hard copy of the call letter will be sent by post.
Final selection: Final Selection will be subject to: i) Verification of eligibility for the post and information furnished in the online application. ii) Qualifying in test of specified opted local language, where applicable, as detailed above.

Many employers are violating the legal provision and have denied employees a paid holiday on election day. As a result the Forum of IT Employees (FITE) has approached Nikhil Walke, labour commissioner Pune, to intervene in the matter.

In a memorandum submitted to Walke on April 5, FITE stated that many IT companies are not allowing employees to take paid leave and exercise their constitutional right. FITE demanded that companies should take the decision to close operations on the day of election and immediately issue circular regarding the same.

FITE also stated that as per section 135 B of the Representation of the People Act, every person employed in any business, trade, industrial undertaking or any other establishment is entitled to vote at an election to the house of the people or the legislative assembly of the state and no wages should be deducted of any such person for granting this holiday. If any employer contravenes the provisions given in this section then such employer shall be punishable with fine.

FITE has also submitted a list of IT companies in Pune who are denying employees paid leave. Pavanjith Mane, president, FITE Maharashtra said, “We have received a lot of complaints from IT employees in the past four days and hence, we have written to the labour commissioner.”

Elavarasan Raja, general secretary, FITE Maharashtra, said, “The issue is not only in Pune. We have received complaints from IT employees in Maharashtra, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Chennai. It is the responsibility of employers to let employees exercise their right to vote.”

A meeting of the Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, approved a Law Ministry proposal to this effect, Information and Broadcasting Minister Ambika Soni told reporters. In this day rallies in government campus were going on.

Observing that new voters, who have attained the age of 18 years, were showing less interest in getting enrolled in the electoral rolls, she said the level of their enrollment was as low as 20 to 25 per cent in certain cases.

"In order to effectively deal with this problem, the Election Commission has decided to take up a vigorous exercise to identify all eligible voters attaining the age of 18 years as of January 1 every year in each of the 8.5 lakh polling stations across the country," she said.

Such eligible voters would be enrolled on time and handed over their Electoral Photo Identity Card (EPIC) on January 25 every year, Soni  said, adding this initiative is expected to give the youth a sense of empowerment, pride and inspire them to exercise their franchise.

The new voters would be provided with a badge with its logo "Proud to be a voter - Ready to vote", she said.The theme of NVD 2016 is ‘Inclusive and qualitative participation’ reiterating the commitment towards reaching out to the last voter and promoting informed and ethical voting. The slogan 'No Voter to be left behind' has been coined to further emphasis the focus on inclusiveness. The National Awards are being conferred for excellence, proficiency and innovation in election processes and procedures. These awards recognize contribution by election machinery, government department/ agency/ PSU, CSO and media said.The greatest joy is seen in young voters of India.

In ancient India, there was an arrangement for election officials by voting in addition to Guticute (lot). In religious institutions, especially in Buddhist unions, certain rules of election were followed. In the "Chulbagg", Sakti mentions three methods of voting: secret ballot, do not reveal opinion in the ear, technique and open voting. For secret ballot, the Buddhist Sangh used to use colored woodwork as vote ballistic. In Rome, according to the second century, the method of voting was to "split" (i.e., people of one vote were separated from the second opinion). But due to the economic and social adoption of most voters' feudalists, this system could not be suitable for independent voting. Hence, the ballot paper was arranged by the legislation for which the venerable woodcutters were used.

Of the total 543 seats in the Lok Sabha, different numbers are elected from different states. Similarly, different number of legislators are elected for the assemblies of different states. The municipal body elections are administered by the State Election Commission, while the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections are under the control of the Election Commission, in which adult voted voters choose MPs and MLAs through direct voting. The tenure of both the Lok Sabha and the Vidhan Sabha is five years. The Election Commission issues notification for the first time. After the notification is issued, the entire election process has three parts - nomination, election and counting. After the notification of election is issued, it is time for filing of nomination papers for seven days. After that one day they are kept for investigation. In this, nomination papers may be canceled for other reasons. Thereafter, two days names are given for withdrawal so that those who do not want to contest elections can withdraw their nomination papers after necessary consideration. Four-four-day time was given for specific reasons for the 1993 assembly elections and the 1996 Lok Sabha elections. But in general, this work is done in two days. Occasionally, if there is a situation of re-voting in some area, it is decided separately for him. The voting time in the polling stations fixed for voting is usually kept from 7 am to 5 pm.

The polling station team
Polling Stations are open from 7.00 a.m. until 10.00 p.m. On Election Day staff are required to arrive at the Polling Station at 6.15 a.m. to set up the equipment. Staff are not permitted to leave the premises during Polling Hours in order to maintain the secrecy of the vote.
The role of the polling station staff is to ensure that voters are able to cast their vote in secret, free from influence and in a calm atmosphere.

Presiding Officers are responsible for the conduct of the ballot in the polling stations and
they must have a good knowledge of the voting procedures.

The Role:
• Comply with any instructions from the Returning Officer
• To take charge of a polling station.
• To ensure that all electors are treated impartially and with respect.
• To maintain the secrecy of the ballot
• To supervise the Poll Clerk(s) at the polling station.
Duties:
Before Election Day:
• Where applicable, attend training sessions and briefings provided by the Electoral
Services office
• Liaise with contact person for designated polling station before Election Day to
confirm arrangements for key collection/opening and closing the building.
• In a multiple polling station, make contact with other Presiding Officer(s).
• Make contact with Poll Clerk(s) to check travel arrangements to and from polling
station.
• Collect the Ballot Box and contents before the Poll and keep secure.
Election Day
• Transport Ballot Box and contents to polling station.
• Erect polling booths. This involves some lifting.
• Organise the layout of the polling station taking all voter needs into account.
• Be aware of access issues at the polling station.
• Be responsible for health and safety at the polling station for all staff and visitors.
• Ensure the polling station is opened on time.
• Ensure that all signs and instructions are clear, visible and remain in place.
• Keep the polling station neat and tidy. 
• Instruct and supervise the work of the Poll Clerk(s)
• Account for, and be responsible for, all ballot papers, issued and un-issued.
• Check and mark electors’ electoral numbers in the register of electors and on the
corresponding numbers lists.
• Issue ballot papers to voters
• Ensure that voters cast their votes in secret and put them into the (correct) ballot box.
• Provide assistance to voters where appropriate
• Receive postal votes delivered by hand.
• Manage the attendance of those entitled to be present in the polling station, eg
candidates, agents, representatives of the Electoral Commission and Observers, and
ensure they do not interfere with the voting process.
• Be polite and professional when dealing with all visitors to the polling station and
remain impartial at all times.
• Monitor the activities of tellers outside polling places
